Surya back in action !

It's known that the hit combination of Suriya-K V Anand-Harris Jayaraj is back with Maatraan. 
CT had already reported thatthe actor is currently trying out several getups for the look in his film. Anand and Harris are already in France to compose for the film.

Now, the latest we hear is that the film will go on floors on July 25. A source reveals, " Suriya has wrapped up his portion in AR Murugadoss's 7am Arivu and has even finished his dubbing. He was busy in between with his brother Karthi's wedding. Now that his responsibilities are over, Suriya's ready to start work on Maatraan. 


"He has been experimenting with several costumes and looks for the film and once Anand is back in the city, the two will start shooting for the film."

Surya movie Maatran to start from next week !

Maatran Surya's upcoming movie with K.V.Anand is starting to role from 20 th of this month, first schedule is they are starting from Russia.

K.V.Anand director of the movie is already in Russia for location hunt and Haris Jeyraj is scoring music for Maatran is also in Russia for composing.

Party time for Surya

Surya, Udhayanidhi Stalin, AR Murugadoss, Ravi K Chandran and all others involved in the making of 7am Arivu had a great time at the wrap up party to celebrate the successful completion of the film. The star and producer are reported to have stayed back till the end of the party and interacted with everyone present there, reports our sources in Kollywood.

AR Murugadoss is currently deeply involved in the post production work of the film and has said that he will not disclose anything about his next project unless he completes 7am Arivu and has it ready for release. Surya, on the other hand, will begin his next film Maatraan with KV Anand on July 22nd.

Maatraan Upcoming Blockbuster Movie Description

Maatraan (மாற்றான்) is an upcoming Tamil action film to be directed and co-written byK. V. Anand and scripted by writers Subha. It stars Suriya in the lead role, portraying five different characters, with Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead,and music by Harris Jayaraj. The film, to be produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, is currently in its pre-production stage and slated for release in April/May 2012.

During the post-production stage of Ko, K. V. Anand announced that he would team up again for a project with Suriya after the success of Ayan that would be produced by AGS Entertainment and would commence once Suriya finished shooting for A. R. Murugadoss' sci-fi thriller 7aam Arivu.

Several actresses were considered including Taapsee Pannu, Samantha Ruth Prabhu,Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Sharma,with Kajal Aggarwal eventually grabbing the role.The film's shooting was postponed before commencing due to Suriya's brother Karthi's wedding on July 3rd.

What's next for Suriya?

'Aaru,' 'Vel,' 'Singam' and going. Yes we are referring to the Suriya - Hari duo who have given us three blockbusters so far. With Hari's 'Venghai' starring Dhanush and Tamannah releasing this Friday, the director is geared up for his next venture, where he'll be teaming up with Suriya Sivakumar.


This untitled commercial will be produced by Gnanavel Raja, who also produced the duo's 'Singam' last year.

It is said that this film will be filled with action sequences that Tamil cinema has never seen, and Suriya will pull off some great stunts. The director, while speaking to a daily, was all praise for Suriya and Vikram as they always refuse to use a body double and put in all the effort to do their own stunts.

Suriya's who is done with Murugadoss's '7am Arivu' is busy with KV Anand's action-hriller 'Maatraan' where his character has some five dimensions. After which, he will begin work with Hari on this script, that will go on floors in 2012 and has Suriya playing a village youth.

Tamil science fiction thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss. Surya to begin Maatraan’s shoot !

Surya, Karthi’s doting brother, who was busy all this while with lil bro’s wedding will soon join K.V. Anand for his next, highly-anticipated flick Maatraan.

Dismissing speculation in a section of the media that K.V. Anand would kick-start his filming with a song shot abroad, DC learns that the ultra-creative director will be starting Maatraan by shooting scenes in Chennai.

Surya’s climax fight in 7aam Arivu

Editor Anthony has said that Surya’s six-pack abs and the Kung Fu fight in the climax of 7am Arivu is simply superb. He has also said that Suriya in the fight resembled Bruce Lee so much and the fight is certainly going to be topnotch. The editor has said that he thought he was watching a Bruce Lee flick and only after a few seconds realized that it was Suriya on screen.

Suriya to don 5 get-ups in Maatran !

For Maatran, to be directed by K V Anand, Suriya will appear in five different looks. Basically, Suriya will sport a single look and all the other get-ups will be done in a blue-mat using various filters, sources say.

The actor, is all set to start his highly-anticipated film Maatran soon now that his brother Karthi's marriage is over.
The movie starring Suriya and Kajal Agarwal will go to floors in Chennai.

'Suriya will join me in the third week of this month and I intend to begin shooting in the city, with a few scenes which will be filmed at different areas. The film's backdrop will not be confined to a single set. Nor will we be starting by shooting a song abroad, as was rumoured', says K V Anand.
